WHAT MAKES THESE EARRINGS UNIQUE?
I crochet all of my earrings with nylon cord. Unlike standard embroidery floss (typically made of cotton or a combination of cotton and polyester), the nylon cord is sturdier and more durable. It's resistant to moisture and other outside factors. Once completed, I starch each pair to give it a uniform and unbendable shape.
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN EACH PACKAGE?
Each pair comes with transparent silicone earring backs.
WHAT OTHER MATERIALS ARE THE EARRING MADE OF?
Stainless Steel Hoops, Hypoallergenic Earring Hook, Nylon Cord.
Please note that wire colors are descriptive only {i.e., the golden wire description does not mean real gold}.
HOW MUCH DO THESE EARRINGS WEIGH?
Although relatively large in size, these earrings are quite lightweight. Each pair weighs about 0.25 oz / 7 gr. in total (0.13 oz / 3.7 gr. each).
HOW LONG ARE THESE EARRINGS?
To give you an accurate sense of the complete drop length, all measurements include the earring hook:
Bean - 2 1/4 in | 6 cm
Semicircle - 2 1/2 / 6.5 cm
Hoops - 2 3/4 in / 7 cm
Semicircle TwoTone - 3 1/4 in / 8 cm
HOW DO YOU SHIP YOUR ORDERS?
I carefully package all orders into a secure unbendable or padded envelope and provide shipment tracking with USPS first class. When available, I try to reuse envelopes from past shipments to minimize plastic and paper waste.

Occasionally, I may be able to purchase additional colors of nylon cord colors, so don't be shy and let me know what your heart desires. All commissions are payable upfront and take a week to complete before shipping.
DO YOU CROCHET ALL OF THESE EARRINGS YOURSELF?
Yes, I do :) I should add that my crochet skills are probably better than my photography skills and so each pair may differ slightly from the pictures shown.
WHAT'S YOUR STORY? WHEN/HOW DID YOU START MAKING CROCHET EARRINGS?
Arts & crafts have been my passion long before the pandemic made them popular. Growing up in communist Poland with creative and resourceful parents explains some of it. As a child, I wore dresses made by my mother. Meanwhile, our small apartment was filled with home décor made by my father. Nowadays, I turn to crocheting, stitching, or sewing for two somewhat distinct reasons: Creativity Cravings & Mental Health.
I had been tinkering and improving upon my original design for these handmade crochet earrings for at least the past three years. At first, I used embroidery yarns but found it made the earrings less durable. The thread did not do a good job of keeping the intended shape and the colors tended to fade over time.
A year ago, while organizing my arts & crafts supplies, I found a few rolls of nylon cords I had purchased in South Africa back in 2017. When I purchased them, it was with the idea that I’d use them for bead necklaces or bracelets. Little did I know they would be the solution to my crochet earrings debacle. I had found a way to make the earrings durable and long-lasting. Since then, I have been experimenting with different earring shapes and crochet patterns.
